About the Unit

The Record Check Processing Unit (RCPU) is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing criminal record check requests that have been submitted to the Central Repository.

This is an essential quality control process that further ensures that the requesting individuals or agencies receive accurate and complete record information. Quality reviews are made for both name and fingerprint-based criminal record checks, as well as criminal history record challenges.

Criminal history background check requests can be conducted by utilizing the state’s automated platform at the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS).
