About the Unit
The Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) Training Unit provides federally required National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification and recertification training to every MULES operator in Missouri.
This mission is accomplished through in-person classes, online training, a quarterly newsletter, and presentations at an annual user’s conference. They assist federal, state, county, and municipal agencies to ensure all users of the MULES system are properly vetted, credentialed, and trained.
This unit supports Missouri law enforcement agencies in answering questions, and providing support on all matters related to access and use of the MULES system. Rap sheet training is also provided.
The MULES Training Unit consists of system experts and works closely with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Cybersecurity and Technology Division (CTD) to ensure that system operation is current and meets standards set by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
