The MSHP civilian hiring process is straightforward, competitive, and fully online.

Complete a profile and submit your application through the MSHP Online Application System. Attach your resume, college transcripts, and any supporting documentation. Resumes alone are not accepted in place of the application form.
Application Review
All applications are reviewed by a facilitator. The process is competitive — complete your application as thoroughly as possible and attach all relevant documents.
Panel Interview
Selected candidates participate in a panel interview with a three-member board asking job-related questions. Interviews typically take 30 minutes to one hour.
