What Is P.I.C.K.?
The Physical Identification Characteristics Kit (P.I.C.K.) is a tool for parents to record their child's physical identification information. Having this information readily available can be critical in helping law enforcement quickly locate a missing child.
The Missouri Missing Person's State Clearinghouse encourages all parents to complete a P.I.C.K. card for each of their children and update it regularly.
Personal Information to Record
• Child's full legal name and any nicknames
• Date of birth
• Social Security number
• Home address and phone number
• Parent/guardian names and contact information
• Emergency contact information
Physical Description
• Height and weight
• Hair color and style
• Eye color
• Race and complexion
• Distinguishing marks (birthmarks, scars, moles, tattoos)
• Glasses or contact lenses
• Braces or dental work
Medical Records
• Blood type
• Medications and allergies
• Medical conditions
• Doctor's name and phone number
• Dental records location
Additional Information
• Recent photograph (update every 6 months for young children)
