About the Public Information and Education Division
The Public Information and Education Division (PIED) of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is responsible for promoting public safety through educational programs, presentations, and community outreach. The division works to inform citizens about traffic safety, personal safety, drug awareness, and other important topics.

Safety Demonstrations
PIED provides hands-on safety demonstrations that make a lasting impact on audiences of all ages:
• Rollover Simulator: Demonstrates the importance of seat belt use during a vehicle rollover
• Seat Belt Convincer: Simulates a low-speed crash to show the effectiveness of seat belts
• Fatal Vision Goggles: Simulates the effects of impaired driving
• Texting While Driving Simulator: Demonstrates the dangers of distracted driving
