My 8 Rules For Safety
These rules help children stay safe. Parents and caregivers should review these rules regularly with their children.
1. I will always check first with my parent, guardian, or trusted adult before going anywhere, accepting anything, or getting into a car with anyone.
2. I will always take a buddy with me wherever I go.
3. I will always tell my parent, guardian, or trusted adult if anyone makes me feel sad, scared, or confused.
4. I will say NO if someone tries to touch me or treat me in a way that makes me feel sad, scared, or confused.
5. I know my name, address, and phone number and my parents' or guardians' names.
6. I will always be aware of my surroundings.
7. I know that a stranger is someone I don't know, and I don't have to talk to strangers.
8. I know that if I am lost or in trouble, I can ask for help from a police officer, firefighter, store clerk, or another trusted adult.
